I designed Orphiq, an experimental audio–visual platform that uses music as a tool for mapping and supporting different modes of consciousness.
-Audio Analysis: Orphiq interprets energetic patterns in music—rhythm, tone, texture, and emotion—to predict their influence on brainwave activity. -Consciousness Mapping: Songs are organized not by genre but by their likely effect (e.g., deep rest, creativity, alert focus). -Visual Resonance: Each piece of music is paired with dynamic, symbolic visualizations that mirror its energetic qualities, letting users see how sound resonates through mind and body. This creates a novel interface for engaging with music—one where playlists become intentional tools for shaping awareness.
Orphiq reframes music from entertainment into an instrument of consciousness design. Users gain:
1. Awareness — insight into how different sounds influence their inner states. 2. Agency — the ability to select music aligned with goals like rest, focus, or creativity. 3. Immersion — symbolic visualizations make the connection between sound and psyche tangible. 4. Exploration — a new way to discover and use music as both art and functional tool. Ultimately, Orphiq offers a glimpse into the future of audio-driven self-regulation—where music doesn’t just move us emotionally, but helps guide us into the states of mind we choose.
Next projects.
